Greta Lydecker, Chevron Upstream Europe managing director, has joined the board of Oil & Gas U.K., the industry's leading trade association.

Oil & Gas U.K. has announced that Chevron Upstream Europe’s managing director, Greta Lydecker, has joined the board of the sector’s leading trade association.

Commenting on the announcement, Greta Lydecker said: “Our industry is facing many challenges and our continued efforts to deliver safe, reliable and affordable energy for the UK will be ensured through improved efficiencies, application of technology, and collaboration.  I am honoured to be joining the Board of Oil & Gas U.K.. I look forward to working closely with industry colleagues and key stakeholders to help improve business performance, maximise the economic recovery from the basin and safeguard its future.”

Terri G. King, president, U.K. ConocoPhillips, also joins the board.

Deirdre Michie, Oil & Gas U.K.’s chief executive, welcomed the new board members and outlined the important role they will play going forward.

“I am delighted to welcome Greta and Terri to Oil & Gas U.K.’s board. Our industry recognises that tough times are continuing but the signs are that we are making progress in tackling our challenges and becoming more globally competitive,” said Deirdre.
